Sketching isn’t about perfection. It is basicly about having fun and loving what you are doing. I love sketching on a daily basis and I am sure you will, too. Together we will look closely at the many shades of grey (certainly more than 50 ;-) ), the many beautiful colours of Morocco, light and shadow, how to choose a motif, where to start and when to end …
We will deal with the basic aspects of Urban Sketching as well as the details. How do we find our motifs? Which excerpt will be put on paper and where do we start to get everything in the right place? How do we best reduce to the most essential parts of the picture?
Knowing the basics now, let’s get started. Sketching is fun! All the more when you share the experience with like-minded enthusiasts, no matter if you are a beginner keen on learning or an already experienced sketcher. Ever tried panel sketching? I will show you how to create a story of your trip in sketches, create a beautiful spread on a double page and add typography to give your sketch a nice finish.

What are the 5 reasons to go to Essaouira?
Discover the medieval streets, contemplate the beauty of the city or admire the fish market, there are a thousand and one reasons to spend a stay in Essaouira.
There are many reasons that lead you to visit Essaouira:
medieval streets
Most people recognize Essaouria from Game of Thrones. Wandering the winding streets of the UNESCO World Heritage Site medina is much more interesting than watching it on TV! This is one of the magical places not to be missed during your stay.
The beauty of the city
Essaouira is a great place to take things slow, whether it's a peaceful afternoon of cycling or pottery in the many shops selling spices, painted bowls, music and colorful clothing. The market experience here is 100 times better than in Marrakech!
The fish market
After seeing the local fishermen hard at work, we picked out some fresh prawns, lobster and fish and cooked it in one of the many fish market tents. Delicious !
artsy culture Even the oranges look artsy in this city where live music, pretty artwork and reggae-themed stalls abound.
The landscape
Whether you prefer the long (windy) beach, splashing rock pools, or 18th-century architecture, it's all beautiful to look at.
-Essaouira (/ˌɛsəˈwɪərə/ ESS-ə-WEER-ə; Arabic: الصويرة, romanized: aṣ-Ṣawīra; Tachelhit: ⵜⴰⵚⵚⵓⵔⵜ, romanized: Taṣṣort, formerly ⴰⵎⴳⴷⵓⵍ Amegdul), known until the 1960s as Mogador, is a port city in the western Moroccan region of Marakesh-Safi, on the Atlantic coast. It has 77,966 inhabitants as of 2014.
The foundation of the city of Essaouira was the work of the Moroccan 'Alawid sultan Mohammed bin Abdallah, who made an original experiment by entrusting it to several renowned architects in 1760, in particular Théodore Cornut and Ahmed al-Inglizi, who designed the city using French captives from the failed French expedition to Larache in 1765, and with the mission of building a city adapted to the needs of foreign merchants. Once built, it continued to grow and experienced a golden age and exceptional development, becoming the country's most important commercial port but also its diplomatic capital between the end of the 18th century and the first half of the 19th century.

-Marrakesh or Marrakech (/məˈrækɛʃ/ or /ˌmærəˈkɛʃ/;[3] Arabic: مراكش, romanized: murrākuš, pronounced [murraːkuʃ]; Berber languages: ⵎⵕⵕⴰⴽⵛ, romanized: mṛṛakc[4]) is the fourth largest city in the Kingdom of Morocco.[2] It is one of the four Imperial cities of Morocco and is the capital of the Marrakesh-Safi region. The city is situated west of the foothills of the Atlas Mountains. Marrakesh is 580 km (360 mi) southwest of Tangier, 327 km (203 mi) southwest of the Moroccan capital of Rabat, 239 km (149 mi) south of Casablanca, and 246 km (153 mi) northeast of Agadir.

-Aït Benhaddou (Berber languages: ⴰⵢⵜ ⴱⴻⵏⵃⴰⴷⴷⵓ; Arabic: آيت بن حدّو) is a historic ighrem or ksar (fortified village) along the former caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakesh in Morocco. It is considered a great example of Moroccan earthen clay architecture and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987.[1]
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Zagora (Berber language: Tazagurt, Arabic: زاڭورة) is a town located in the Draa River valley in the Moroccan region of Drâa-Tafilalet.
On the base of the Zagora mountain the remains of an Almoravid fortress can still be seen.[1] The exact location of the former Almoravid mosque is still a matter of dispute. Each year the moussem (festival) of the Sufi saint moulay Abdelkader Jilali is celebrated at Zagora.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Taroudant (Tachelhit: Tarudant, ⵜⴰⵔⵓⴷⴰⵏⵜ; Arabic: تارودانت, tārūdānt, [taːruːdaːnt]) is a city in the Sous Valley in south western Morocco. It is situated east of Agadir on the road to Ouarzazate and the Sahara desert and south of Marrakesh. The town is known as the "Grandmother of Marrakech" because it looks like a smaller Marrakech with its surrounding ramparts. In the 16th century, the Saadi dynasty briefly used Taroudant as a capital before it moved its royal seat onwards to Marrakesh. Today, the city has the feel of a small fortified market town on a caravan route.
Taroudant is known for its local crafts, including jewellery and carpets.
Unlike Marrakesh, almost the entire city of Taroudant is located inside its walls. A new part of the city is being developed outside the city walls around the campus of a faculty of the Ibn Zohr University of Agadir. On 8 July 2022, a maximum temperature of 47.8 °C (118.0 °F) was registered.[2]
