Tedrart Corp of Morocco Ecoway was born from the friendship and shared vision of two friends, Abdou and Yacin Tedrart, who met through their work. Yassine, a graduate in public law, worked in an association supporting youth integration, while Abdou was a foster parent. Together, they envisioned a project that went beyond immediate assistance: creating a welcoming space to support young people in need. This vision gave birth to Riad Bassatine, an initiative embodying their values of mutual aid and commitment.
One day, French watercolor artist Anne Larose arrived at Riad Bassatine. Touched by Abdou and Yacin tedrart dedication and energy, she found unique inspiration in this place. Anne quickly developed a connection with the founders, sharing her love for art and culture. Her visit marked a pivotal moment in the project’s evolution, enriching the Riyad’s soul with an artistic and creative touch.
Thus began the first watercolor workshop at Riad Bassatine. Under Anne Larose’s guidance, this event brought participants together around art and creativity, strengthening the spirit of sharing and exchange that animates the place. This workshop marked the start of a beautiful artistic and human adventure.
Yacin tedrart, responsible for the site’s marketing and managing collaborations with instructors and therapists, plays a key role in the development of Tedrart Corp of Morocco Ecoway. Through his network and expertise, he ensures the project attracts qualified professionals while optimizing visibility for the activities offered. His ability to establish strong partnerships enhances the site’s offerings, guaranteeing enriching experiences for all participants.
On the other hand, Abdou adds value to the workshops by organizing walks around the Skoura oasis. During these outings, he shares his knowledge of the plants and flowers adorning this oasis, one of the most beautiful and well-preserved in Morocco. Through his passionate explanations, participants discover the natural richness of the oasis while deepening their connection with the surrounding environment. These walks bring a unique dimension to the workshops, blending art, nature, and local culture.
Since the first workshop in 2015, Tedrart Corp of Morocco Ecoway has seen remarkable growth. Today, between 30 and 40 workshops are organized each year, attracting participants from diverse backgrounds. This growth reflects the impact and increasing appeal of the activities offered, which combine art, nature, and personal development while staying true to the project’s founding values of solidarity and sharing.
Through the association and Tedrart Corp of Morocco Ecoway, numerous solidarity actions have been carried out. The association has contributed to purchasing school supplies for children in the Skoura school, planting 300 trees in the oasis, and acquiring an ambulance to transport women in labor or patients to Ouarzazate, located 44 kilometers away. Previously, these journeys were made under challenging conditions. Additionally, the association has supported three young women in pursuing studies in Germany, providing them with new opportunities and a brighter future.
The association’s future now aims at internationalization, with the ambition to expand to English-speaking countries. The goal is to showcase Morocco in a new light, highlighting not only its natural beauty but also the depth of its philosophy, spirituality, and unique traditions. This project seeks to share Morocco’s cultural and environmental richness while fostering international exchanges and strengthening connections between cultures.
